skin is the vital organ that covers the entire outside of the Body, It forms a protective barrier against the environment. Facial skin is the delicate skin in our body. So, it is very to take care of.
Why is it important to know your skin type?
It is important to know your skin type because you cannot able to treat your skin problems.
You cannot be able to choose products to your skin you might end choosing the wrong product.
Most of the cases, the main cause of skin problems are because of using unsuitable and products.
Types of skin types:
- Dry skin
- oily skin
- sensitive skin
- normal skin
- combination skin
You might wonder why I didn’t add acne-prone skin and dehydrated skin. Dehydration and acne can occur in any skin type.
How to check your skin type?
You need to cleanse your face with mild Cleanser preferably glycerin soap and do not apply any moisturiser. leave it till the next morning.
If you have flaky skin or you feel stretched and looks patchy with no sebum then, you have dry skin. dry skin tends to get wrinkles at an earlier stage. So, it very important to apply a thick moisturiser to your skin. This skin type occurs during winter season.
If your skin feels shiny and oiliness all around your face, including jawline then you have oily skin. This skin has a higher chance of getting acne and enlarged pores.
If you notice any tiny bumps, redness on your face or feel itchy, you have sensitive skin. This skin type needs special care as it breakouts easily.
If you notice no extra sebum, dry patches and redness and have no skin issues,you have normal skin.
normal skin can also breakout if not taken care.
If you notice oiliness in Few areas in the face especially around nose forehead and other areas are normal then you have combination skin.
Can skin type change?
Yes it can change yes it can change. It changes according to climatic conditions and how you care about it.
How to know that you are dehydrated?
Your lips keeps drying,as there is no sebaceous gland ,no sebum produced . you need to moisture the lips and also drink enough water.
